Spring

So far, our club has pretty much curled year-round.  Breaks between leagues are primarily spent on learn-to-curl classes and some drop-in games and then we start a new league.

We've been teaching Learn-to-Curl classes, and while people like the classes, the more enthusiastic see the step from Learn-to-Curl to actually playing to be a big step.

We've changed the class a little, and that's helped -- we play two ends as part of class.  The quality of play differs greatly between the first and second end.

We tell them they're ready, but there is still just a little bit of fear.

I know, it scared me.  It seems like a long time ago.

So this weekend is the first Beginners' drop-in -- limited to those who have played in two leagues or less, and I'm "too experienced."

Following that is a four week Beginners' League, starts May 21st, and I'm ineligible!

I'll be there to coach, and to teach.

Our 9 week Summer League starts June 25th, and I'm pleased to say that I'll be playing on the same team, with the same teammates.  We may not be the best team, but we have the most fun.
